The Malaysia My Second Home Programme (MM2H) is a Malaysian Government programme to facilitate and allow foreign citizens to stay in Malaysia on a social visit pass with multiple entry visa for a period of 10 years and is renewable. Company Background

The management is headed by Mr. Anthony Chong who is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. He also holds a Master in Business Administration. Prior to joining the Company, he has held chief executive positions and directorships in several state-owned corporations and one of which is an insurance company in the name of Progressive Insurance Berhad. He is an approved insurance agent under PIAM's Rules & Regulations and Fair Horizon Sdn Bhd's nominee to transact in general insurance business. He was also the Chairman of the East Malaysian Industrial Glue Manufacturing Association from 1997-1999.

Modus Operandi

The MM2H Programme is basically a programme promoted by the Malaysian Government to allow people from all over the world to live or retire in Malaysia on a long term-basis. The MM2H Visa is a ten year social visit pass with renewable multiple entry visas. It is a progression of our transformation from the 'Silver Haired Programme' which now extends to foreigners below the age of fifty to apply.

Our service is "one-stop" in that we provide all necessary assistance to our clients through (1) the pre-application process i.e. compilation of the requisite information and documents, (2) the procedures to be followed upon receiving the Letter of Offer from the Immigration Department and (3) all other matters which our clients may require us to assist towards their settling in Sabah. We also facilitate our new clients to meet up with other MM2H participants who are happily settled in Sabah so that they can share their experiences. This is indeed the most fulfilling part of our job - to see our clients happily settled in their second home in Sabah. Along the way, we also get to meet some great people and make new friends.

List Of Our Services

Forms from Sabah are slightly different from those that can be downloaded in the MM2H website as they are unique for the purpose of MM2H application in Sabah.

As your agent, we shall provide the Personal Bond (H.I.F 11) in the form of a guarantee.

We shall assist you to complete the application forms, do an appropriate write-up to support your application and draft the letter of application for you to make sure you fulfill all the requirements.

We shall guide you carefully in all 3 stages i.e.
- pre-application up to the point of submission
- upon receiving letter of conditional approval from the Immigration Department and
- post-application matters.

The conditional approval letter is usually issued within 90 days after our submission of your application. We make sure that all the documents are in order before submission.

Upon receiving your conditional approval from the Immigration, you are required to make a trip to Sabah within the six months of offer to fulfill the following requirements:
- Open the MM2H Fixed Deposit
- Medical check-up
- Obtain the Hospital and Surgical Insurance Cover

We shall accompany and guide you each step of the way and thereafter, bring your passport to pay the levy and have it stamped.

You should allow yourself at least a 4 nights and 5 days stay in Kota Kinabalu to ensure that you have three full 'working days' in Sabah to duly obtain your MM2H visa. We do offer packages for such trips at competitive prices.

Applicant must be above 30 years old.

DOCUMENT NEEDED:

LETTER OF APPLICATION (COVER LETTER)
- Personal background and indicate your intention to join Malaysia My Second Home.
- With whom you wish to come (single or with family).
- Briefly explain how you will support your stay in Malaysia (Financial Capabilities).

FOUR (4) PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPHS OF APPLICANT

RESUME WITH 10 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE

LETTER OF GOOD CONDUCT FROM YOUR RELEVANT GOVERNMENT AGENCY
- The police authority of the applicant’s home country.
- Original LOGC issued by Police Department or Security Agencies in China must be translated by Notary Public in China and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China AND Embassy or Consulate of Malaysia in China.

COPY OF CERTIFIED BANK STATEMENT

Upon application:

Applicants are required to show proof of offshore income (eg: salary, rental, interest from investment, pension, etc) of at least RM10K (RM15K for family) per month.
At least 3 months certified copies proof of monthly off-shore income.
At least 3 months bank statement/other related financial document to indicate the financial capability to support stay in Malaysia.

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING FINANCIAL CRITERIA UPON RECEIPT OF THE ‘APPROVAL LETTER’ FROM MALAYSIA IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT.

FIXED DEPOSIT ACCOUNT

Open a fixed deposit account of RM300,000.
After a period of one year, the participant can withdraw up to RM* for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes.
Participants must maintain a minimum balance of RM* from second year onwards and throughout stay in Malaysia under this programme.

MEDICAL INSURANCE POLICY (from any insurance company in Malaysia).**

MEDICAL REPORT (from any private hospital or registered clinic in Malaysia).**

INCIDENTAL CHARGES BASED CURRENT RATES

Social Visit Pass :-

MYR500/year per applicant (There will be an initial processing fee of RM3K for the main applicant and RM2.5K for each dependent)

2. Medical Insurance Premium

About MYR2,500 for a family of 3 persons per annum.

3. Medical Check-up

About MYR100 per applicant.

Pertinent Points

SOME PERTINENT POINTS ON MM2H PROGRAMME

Under the MM2H programme, participants are NOT allowed to be gainfully employed. However, MM2H participants can conduct business and investment activities in Malaysia subject to the rules and regulations of Malaysia.

Participants under the Sabah MM2H programme are allowed to stay in any other states in Malaysia. MM2H participants are allowed to visit Sarawak on the normal visitor’s visa granted by Immigration Sarawak. As for the participants under the West Malaysia MM2H, they are only allowed to stay in the states in West Malaysia. They can visit Sabah under the normal visitor’s visa issued by the respective states.

Under the MM2H programme, participants have no restriction of entry into Malaysia for a period of ten (5+5) years and renewable upon expiry.

Prior to lodgement, the application time depends on how fast the applicants are able to furnish their information as required. From date of lodgement, it takes 3 – 4 weeks for the Sabah Immigration Department to process.

Foreign Investment Committee approval presently for the purchase of property in Sabah under the Sabah MM2H programme is RM600K and above. This rule also applies to the purchase of the second property and thereafter i.e. each property must be RM600K and above. Such properties can be jointly purchased by more than one MM2H participants.

MM2H participants are allowed to bring their children who are below 18 years old and not married as dependent. The children can attend local schools and colleges approved by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia.

Tax exemption is given on the remittance of foreign funds into Malaysia.

Participants in the MM2H programme are permitted to open bank accounts at any local banks.
